CEO & Founder - Yuqing Niu
After seven years at Cortina Systems, a leading provider of high-performance communications semiconductor solutions, where Yuqing was instrumental in transitioning it from an unknown player to a well-recognized IC leader developing the Chinese business from 0 to $60M, Yuqing left to pursue her vision of creating a Chinese focused semiconductor company. Prior to Cortina, Yuqing spent 10 years at various companies within the semiconductor, telecommunication, and networking industries. At Silicon Access, Yuqing was a Principle Engineer and led a multi-site team developing breakthrough Network Processor technologies. At Cisco, Yuqing led the development of two ASICs that were used deployed in Cisco’s 12000 GSR Router. At Nortel, Yuqing participated in several ASIC projects developing technologies such as ATM, DSL, IP Switching, and Sonet.
Yuqing holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Queen's University at Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
General Manager Japan - Tetsu Koyama
With over 30 years of professional experience of development and marketing of communication system, equipment and semiconductor in Japan, Tetsu actively contributes to industry standards such as ITU-T, IEEE and TTC for ADSL, VDSL, PON, and Ethernet. Prior to Xingtera, Tetsu was a director of NEC Magnus Communications for development of new market,e.g. Car Communication and Home Network. He was also a board member of Teknovus, a PON company which was acquired by Broadcom in 2010. His pofessional experience also includes NEC, Centillium and their subsidiaries.
Tetsu received a M.E.E. degree from Tokyo Institure of Technology.
VP Marketing & Founder – David Chin
David brings 20 years of prolific experience in the semiconductor industry. Prior to Xingtera, he spent 10 years in marketing and engineering at Broadcom. During his marketing tenure, David defined and successfully marketed more than 10 products in the Network Switching Business Unit, doubling the revenue and increased market segment leadership in SMB, xPON MTU/MDU, EPON/DOCSIS3/xDSL Home Gateways, and Cellular BTS. Prior to his marketing role, he managed 100+ person engineering team in the US and Taiwan and developed over 20 network security, networking switching, WLAN router, and PoE PSE controller products. David came to Broadcom through acquisition of Bluesteel Networks, a network security company which he co-founded and where he built the ASIC/HW/SW team from scratch. Prior to Bluesteel, he was with Intel, working on compiler technology and IA-64 architecture, Pentium II CPU design, and Pentium BiCMOS process and flash EEPROM process technology.
David received an M.S. degree and a Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from U.C. Berkeley.
